Rumored HR45 bill is false

Here's the reply with link I received from ILA when inquiring about HR 45, it appears very real:

'Bryan

Indeed HR45 is horribly disturbing and would constitute a severe violation of gun owners rights. Please see this article we put together for more information. http://www.nraila.org/Legislation/Federal/Read.aspx?id=4329

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Brent Gardner'

Here's the link to the HR45 legislation. It'd definitely real.

The stimulus bill is HR1 different bill than HR45. I am glad to see that this may dis-spell rumors abounding about HR1.
HR45 is in committee, with one sponsor, zero co-sponsors), It doesn't look to be going anywhere. But contact your Representatives at any rate and let them know how you feel.

This bill is in subcommittee right now.
We all need to write the people on the list.

This link isn't working correctly so you need to cut and paste to get the list of memebers
We definitely need to not let this out of the subcomittee. Take some action and write. Send this to everyone you know.

If you look at the date on the letter posted by Mr. Lambert, it is the latest edition.
It appears the NRA jumped the gun with the one quoted by pikespeakgoat. Or, does anyone really know the truth???

Figures... he can't own a gun, legally) so he doesn't want anyone else to have them.

so 12Man, you are saying this rep. rush is a convicted felon? spent time in jail? and still managed to get elected? and we wonder why things are the way they are??? i will stop now, the proposed bill is bad enough. if i keep going, moderator will kick me outta here!

He couldn't hold public office as a convicted felon. He may not have been convicted or might have gotten the charge adjudicated. None the less he is no friend of the shooting community.
