Read these Rules if you are selling an optic.

Break the rules and your account will be permanently terminated and your IP will be blocked.

1. If you are responding to a WTB ad for an optic, you MUST provide a legit phone number, true name, and verifiable street address. Such details should be provided via PM, not in a thread response.

2. If you are responding to a WTB ad for an optic, you MUST provide a custom photo on request. That means you will take a photo of the scope/optic in a different location with something placed on it, as directed by the purchaser.

3. If you are responding to a WTB ad for an optic, and you demand payment via PayPal Friends & Family (or Venmo, Zelle equivalent), your Forum account will be permanently terminated.

You CAN use PayPal or Venmo business mode with FEES for an optics sale (but NOT gun or ammo sale)

Repeat, for a scope/optic sale you CAN use PayPal or Venmo business mode (goods and services) with FEES. But if you demand F&F no-fees payment (or Venmo, Zelle, ApplePay, CashApp equivalent) your account will be permanently closed, and you will forfeit any sums you have paid for membership here.

4. If you direct a buyer to an unverified account or email, or if you solicit sales on behalf of a third party, your account will be subject to termination.

You "saved my bacon" a few years ago when I posted a WTB ad for a scope, and I REALLY appreciated the "heads-up" warning from you that the responder was a scammer. It is a shame that there are people out there trying to take advantage of honest people.

Do you get told when the "30 day lockout period" is over ?

I have another somewhat related question as I am trying to make sure I have the rules straight. If a membership is upgraded, can a new member respond to a WTB ad before the thirty days? Thanks. S7

I’d like to personally thank you for doing this as well! I have another hobby which is in astronomy and high end optics for astronomy and in the past have been screwed with PP. I truly despise it and refuse to do ANY business thru that company unless I absolutely have to!
