Ruger Super Redhawk 22 Hornet

If anyone wants one right now, there is one on GB.
I am gonna wait till I can use my Cabelas points, besides the first one at auction will probably go for way too much. Glad Rugers site shows them as available. Hopefully it stays as a regular production item for awhile.

And here I find my self wanting one. I had previously owned a Taurus Raging Hornet along with the Taurus Raging Bee. I will forever be kicking myself for selling those two pistols

My Super RedHawk is so much more fun to shoot after a professional single action trigger job.
I have a Redhawk (not Super) from the '80s. I put a spring kit in it some time ago. I got a nice single action pull but I recently had it not fire some rounds loaded with (IIRC) CCI primers when shooting double action. Single action, no problem. Switched to Federal primers, seems to have solved the issue but I may put the original springs back in to be sure.

I have Hornet brass, dies, bullets plus I love the Redhawks. Do I NEED this? No, but I WANT this!

I love the Redhawk, it is a beautifully strong gun. I have an 85 6-shot 357 mag and an 85 blued 44-Mag
I did the trigger jobs on both, the 357 will only set off Federals reliably with a 7.8lbs DA, 3.5lbs SA. The 44 should set off CCIs which are the least sensitive, 9.5lbs DA, 4.5lbs SA.
The only other things that can be done are more extensive modifications, lighten the hammer by removing material and replacing the firing pin spring(don't want to do this at all). I've played with hammer and how it contacts the transfer bar/frame, remove material from the nose, that's an easy change.
They're finicky but I love how they handle and shoot.
