I have been looking for an adapter to fit so it would ride bag much better.I use a 3”adapter to fit my for end for my front rest need something for rear I think this would be perfect

I am going to add a machine nut to the attachment. I originally had the socket head cap screw threaded into the plastic but I am not satisfied with it I think that a nut on the far side would be a much more rugged solution and would cause no issues. I'm very satisfied with the plastic in fact if you look at it it appears to be an oem piece on the original buttstock. I'm starting to think I should contact Ruger about selling them to design.

From the top of the picatinny rail (upside down) the current (shown in pics) is 1.375" tall in the rear. I am going to change it to 1", so I am reducing it 3/8" to 1/2".

I am also adding a nut retainer for the SHCS bolt. I am not satisfied with using the plastic threads. So, there will be two nuts on the far side.
