Ruger Precision 6.5 Creedmoor loads?

I just got an RPR 6.5 Creedmoor and was wondering if anyone had any great loads worked up that you could share? What sort of MOA were you getting with them?

Mine likes the original Hornady 140 AMAX, Hornady brass, Wolf primers and 43 Gr H4350. Easy 0.5 MOA at 100 yards. Remember to work up carefully for your rifle.

MJT,
First off, welcome aboard! Secondly, congrats on the new rifle. I came within a few days of buying that very rifle, but then did some reading and talked to a few owners of them about the design and purpose of the rifle. And I quickly learned the rifle was specifically designed and built for long distance shooting. And having heard from guys who own the rifle and shoot 1k, it is fantastically accurate and in great demand. I ONLY shied away from buying one because I mostly shoot Benchrest 100 - 200 yds. So I decided to go with a custom .223 STTAR15 that actually cost me a bunch more money (not to mention having to buy another scope). But that Ruger Precision Rifle should be very accurate and perform beautifully in long distance shooting. Good luck and have fun.

Thanks Alex! I have a benchrest gun as well, so I know what you mean. The RPR I shoot at 400-900 yards so I was just trying to get some ideas where to start.

Since h4350 is about as plentiful as unicorn tears around here, I ended up using Rel17, and the results are impressive. Shooting the 123 SMK I've got a node at 42.5g and 2950fps and no pressure signs. I'm going to see if I can find the next higher node, though.

I have worked up loads for the Berger 140 Hybrids and the ELD-X 143's with H4350, Ruger PR with LRI 24" barrel. My barrel seems to run at lower pressures/velocities than most reports. To get velocities at 2700fps+- I have to load with over 43gr for the ELD-X and just under 43gr for the Berg. 140 in Hornady brass. Others report pressure signs near 43gr in factory barrels. I have shot many 5 shot groups under .5 MOA and several under .35 MOA at 100yds. Best group, 3 shot, 0.084 MOA and second best at .095 MOA. So...the gun will shoot for the money involved. Now that 4350 is getting scarce I have switched to Hodgdon Hybrid 100V. It takes about a grain more to get the same velocities as the 4350 and the accuracy is getting close to the 4350 loads. I have now switched to Lapua brass (308 reformed) and my internal capacity is down >3 grains water so I am in the process of developing loads again this week. I will post my experience once I have data.
