Watched the French Terror on the news. Noticed that the Gendarmes were carrying wooden stocked rifles that I did not recognize. Today saw a top view and realized that they were Ruger Mini 14's. My compliments and commendation to the French Police both in admirably ending terror stand offs - but choosing and excellent firearm. Viva La France! And, Viva Ruger.

I wonder why the French only arm a small portion of their police? It sure caused them a bunch of law enforcement deaths this week, until they got serious and brought in the guys that could actually shoot back....

They bought into the liberal way of thinking. I am glad they have them as it sent cash back here. Well I hope it did. On the bright side at police distance those rifle are accurate enough.

Yep they were the select fire variant of the Mini 14, France along with some US prisons are the biggest holders of them.

Noticed it myself that they were AC-556's, I didn't get the stock at first, it's got that M1 Carbine type sling cut out....I like my factory folder AC

Why would the police need guns when the citizens dont have guns? They got the guns out of the bad people's hands so the cops only need a ticket book. Liberals... Wow....
