Ruger M77 338 win mag capable of sub moa at 600 yards?

Friend of mine has the Ruger M77 for hunting and wants to try and reach out with it. Anyone have any experience with these guns? Are they capable of shooting sub moa or even moa to 600 yards or beyond? Also if anyone has any factory loaded ammo recommendations let me know! =)

You'll never know unless you try. If it is a MKII his chances are better. He will need to work up a match-type load with bullets that are accurate (match or Berger Hunting) and will do the job he needs it to. If it is for hunting he needs to get on a ballistic site and see if he will have enough velocity left at 600 to expand (generally 1900 fps and above). Heavier bullets hold velocity better over longer ranges but they do start slower to begin with.
