Ruger bolt cam over Q?

This is from another post, but a different Question. As the post says I bought a Ruger American II. The question is = The bolt camover is horrible. How to change it? Plus I have never seen a 3 lug bolt before.

My first RUGER rifle. American gen II 243 old mans rifle. Pros - like the trigger, looks and accuracy- 1 moa the 4th 5th+6th shots on the new rifle off my bench.. Cons - the bolt drop or cam over is horrible. With factory ammo.

At the risk of sounding like a non-caring jerk ; Did you really expect a "Factory" rifle that costs 4 -500 dollars to be built in the quality level of a custom Target Rifle . Mistakes get made . If it is un-workable , call Ruger and see what they will do to fix the issue . They have a decent Customer service Dept. from what I'm told .

Not just Ruger. Savage is famous for it and the Howa I have was almost as bad.

I just spent a bit of time with a dremel grinder reshaping the camming surfaces and then polishing to a mirror finish.
