Ruger american rimfire

i ordered a ruger american rimfire in 22mag,just a different gun to plink with,it appears to come with a scope base installed,Is this a weaver type base?it appears to be?Ruger info just says scope base included,and i have a 3x9x40 nikon to throw on there,can I assume that medium weaver style rings will be correct height..Thank you

I mounted the scope on mine to the dovetail using medium height rings and it has more than adequate clearance for the Nikon 3-9x40, mounting the scope on the rail to will give you even more clearance. I do not foresee any issues.
