Just picked up one of the ruger americans in 243 win to play with the other day and after getting to tinker with it decided may just rechamber to 6 br for a fun truck gun. Loaded the mag with br rounds and cycled the action, appears to function perfectly with the short little round. What pitfalls would I need to look out for if I rechamber? Would I need to get rid of the whole 243 chamber or just enough so the br reamer would create its own neck ahead of the factory neck?
