Ruger 10/22 barrel question/problem.

I have a Ruger 10/22 with a Volquartsen trigger and 1 inch in diameter Carbon Fiber barrel with 2" SS muzzle brake, when shooting from a rest or the bench the accuracy is great! However the barrel is so light that it is almost impossible to settle down with it when shooting offhand, I actually shot better with the original barrel offhand then the fiber barrel.

Question is there a tuning device or barrel weight made for the the barrel that would increase the weight up front and make the rifle easier to settle down with in offhand shooting.
All ideas would be very much appreciated.

I would change the barrel to a Green Mountain 18" stainless or flued fluted barrel for off hand shooting. That is what my wife and I use in shooting RF Silhouette. Also, go over the Rimfire Central for more info as they are all things 10/22 oriented. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/

Love those 10/22's - have 4 custom ones, 3 with KIDD Triggers and one with a Clark Custom trigger.
