Round 3 of testing the 22 BRA at 500 yards. This go around I went from .243 bushing to a .242 bushing. The S&B primers show most consistency. On the 34.0 grain load the low left shot was after sitting for 10 mins allowing the barrel to cool a bit before I shot the string. The 34.0 from yesterday and today did tighten up a bit as I went from a 1.399 yesterday to a 1.216 today. I’m just not seeing an accuracy mode though. So tomorrow morning I’m going to test 33.9 and 34.1 of the BR4 and 33.7, 33.9 and 34.1 of the S&B
I also made another change to my case necks this afternoon. I took a .245 neck bushing sizes the cases and then ran a .2242 neck reamer inside them. What this did was take my neck loaded round from .2457 to .245 so that’s .003 neck clearance. That .0007 may not sound like much but in reality it’ll be a big difference at the combustion end of the firing sequence. I’ve done this in the past and I’ve eliminated those lone flyers.
