RMR bullets

It says they make their own 69gr .224 bullets.

I've loaded their 124 FN in a 9mm Luger, worked very well. Waiting on 1K of their 115 RN. Powder & brass are ready, now if I could only get some SPP...

Anybody have experience with the RMR line of plated bullets in 9mm, .357 and .223 68 gr (made by Hornady)?
The 68gr Hornadys are excellent bullets. Very easy to work up accurate loads with most any .223 applicable powders. Haven't had, or seen, a barrel yet that I couldn't get to shoot easily sub MOA with them and I've had dozens. Closer to 1/2 MOA consistently, AR platform, IF i can do my part. (Big if on most days!!!)

Thanks, I'm wondering how they'll work in a 1-9 barrel carbine otherwise I also have 1-8 ARs that shoot the 69s good.

I currently have three 1-9 barrels and all three shoot the 68 gr Hornadys sub MOA. My most accurate barrel with that bullet is a 1-9, 20" DPMS bull barrel and it often shoots 1/2 MOA or better.

Their 124gr 9mm JHPs are nice and shoot well from mine and my brother's pistols

I like RMR. Good service and bullets fair pricing. Always did me right. Give them a try. I’ve never had a problem…

RMR has a decent product. I've compared their 69 and 75 BTHP's to Sierra and Hornady. For comparison I shoot 73ELDM's, 69 and 77 SMK's into less than 1/2MOA on a regular basis. The RMR's are in the less than 1MOA range. A great choice for a gas gun plinker or just fun shooting.

Have not tried their pistol bullets but probably should. Their prices on new Sierra and Hornady are good as well.

I have not tried any of there rifle bullets but there pistol bullets have shot well for me in most all the popular calibers. There all made in house to my knowledge right here in my backyard Lewiston Idaho. It’s about a 15 minute drive to there business for me but I have had them delivered and they were very fast at shipping.

I've purchased their 69 Gr .224 bullets for my service rifle and have found them to do very well in testing off the bench. Certainly a bargain in that application.

I loaded all of my 69 SMKs a few months back, there is a bag of 1000 rmr 69s for my next 223 loading date.

There are other threads here on Accurate Shooter about their 69 grain .224 bullets.
You'll find users reports range from 'less than an MOA' to 'at best one MOA'.

My own experience is group sizes vary significantly within the same lot. I did 'sweeps' of seating depths and of powder charges shooting from a bench. I tried sorting by base to ogive. Went through ~ 300 rounds of 5 shot groups.

The vast majority of the groups were well over 1 to almost 2 MOA. From time to time there would be a group ~ 1/2 MOA. But when repeating the same load the group size always was back to the 1-2 MOA range.

I've come to the conclusion that many of the bullets would make small groups but there are a lot of ones that produce 'flyers'.

I could easily find nodes for Sierra 69's and they, as expected, consistently produce small groups.
