I called this morning and confirmed Grafs has the powder. As of 9:00 am Pacific time, Graf's had 300 pounds in stock, all in one-pound containers.

I been looking for an excuse to order some powder, and split my order and got 5 each Norma 203-B and the new RL17. The 6 Dasher will get fed some Norma, and the 6-47L will get some RL17. Something to get an old man excited.:thumb:

Thanks,I was looking for an excuse to order some powder. Gonna try the RL-17 in a 22 Dasher as RL-15 is a tad too fast . About the Norma 203-B I'm getting excellent results in 22 BR with 31 grs of 203-b and a 75 gr. Moly AMax. Vaporized two crows at 687 yds. the other evening using this load.

A little press can sure help. I hope Alliant realizes that and helps to support this site. If any of you have an extra $5 or $10 sitting in PayPal, let's give Paul a hand with it, I don't know of another site that's so useful.

By the way, the thing I found most interesting about the Graf's listing for RL 17 was that they mentioned 6XC as one of the cartridges for which it's useful. That has to be the first time that the 6XC is listed in a powder's advertising. I wonder where they got that idea...

Did you test the RL17 in a 308 or anything bigger?

Paul called me about the power and I got my order in before it was sold out.

Did anyone get a response out of Alliant about when some more Rel 17 would be available?

Every source I check that had some is out of stock.

Is 300 pounds really all they shipped? That is really strange...and an absurdly small amount of powder. Were they that uncertain of its market acceptance?

There was 4000 pounds total in the country. 300 pounds went to Grafs and similar shipments went to some big wholesalers such as Western Powder.

Thanks! I just got off the phone with PV.

I had checked their web site earlier and it showed "out of stock". Evidently, they have a very small amount left. I snagged 5# which should let me do some testing. I hope Alliant gets another shipment before too long.

Also, what is the consensus on RL17 for the improved BR cases? Has anyone tried it yet?
