Rl17 for 22-243?

Ok I'm starting load development in my 22-243 now that I have all my other issues with it worked out. Anyways it seems lots of people use rl17 specifically with the 22-243. Now if I developed my loads when it was 70-80 and when I'm using this rifle the most the time it will be any were from below zero to in the 40s. Will this be an issue? Or should I look more to like h4831? I know a lot of people have had good luck with rl17 but don't know what there temperature swings are. Any advice would be great specially with you guys with experience with the 22-243 shooting 75g amazes.

I've been using Re-17 in the .22-243 + 75 gr. AMAX for a long time but as I have stated before, my temperature range is fairly narrow considering my use for this cartridge. I've also switched to the .22 Creedmoor when Lapua brought out their brass. The 30-degree shoulder, mildly improved case and the small flash hole work great for me. Your colder temps though might be better served with the standard flash hole.

If your main temp range is that cold, I would suggest using Re-23 or better yet Re-26. You can still run some of these at the warmer temps but either will perform well when it gets cold.

Regards.

Well for now I think I'm doing ok with h4831sc I'm getting 3515 with good accuracy and no pressure signs so I might work up a little more and see what happens.

If that load shoots good.... then don't worry about making it hotter.... hotter only helps on really long shots.... unless your ready to consistently take really long shots.
