RL 33 and the 7STW

I do not have this caliber, but I will bet that it does fine. I really like it in my 26-inch, 7 mag, with 175 and 160-grain bullets. I can get the 175 up over 3000 and the 160 hits 3000 without pushing the load too heavily.

IMR 7828 works great in mine, 3,035 fps w/180 Berger, 26" barrel. RL-33 was too spikey for my taste, at upper node. I am fixing to try VV n-570 in mine, heard some very good results about it and scored 16# a month ago.

I Love RL-33 in for one of my 300winmags with 240smk.
I can give you QuickLoad starting loads for 7STW with 168's and 180's.
But I'll use my Adjusted Ba (burn rate factor) with the RL-33 because the lots of RL-33 I've used are faster burning than the default RL-33 Ba in quickload. So by using my adjusted Ba factor I'm more confident you will have no early pressure signs.
Usually the QL Ba factors for 99% of the powders are damn close. But with RL-33 I found my actual results (based on Velocity) need a decent Ba adjustment.
In Case anyone cares... the QL default Burn Rate Factor Ba for RL-33 is 0.2670... I use 0.2800

Here is the QL prediction

Reduce these Max loads by 7 grains and work up accordingly.

I have had 3 of the 7 STW's, my reamer with zero to .020 Freebore for use in Winchester brass. Our thinking for short 500 yard shots on deer only was to go for mid weight bullets, very fast...120-150g Noslers.

So, I had Pac nor put a 27" SS three groove barrel on using my reamer. It took less than 25 rounds to start shooting groups in the 2's with a 8-32 Burris Black diamond scope on the rifle. The Pac Nor 11 Twist, three groove behaved very differently than the Remington SS Sendero 7 Mag re chambers in how it built pressure. In the Pac Nor, we still shoot the 140g Nosler Combined Tech bullet at 3650 and the 120g Noslers at 3850 using IMR 7828 and 215 Primers, Win brass only. This 11 Twist barrel is a sendero weight barrel with the factory Sendero stock, and we use a muzzle break. Accuracy at 600 is 1.5-2.5" which has just killed all deer in one shot....NO runners...none!

We put a food plot out at 500 yards and named this the STW stand, deer never smell us
