RL 23 in 308 data

Looking for any info on RL 23 in a 308 shooting 200-20x Bergers

Running a Quick-Load prediction of the following: Shank Seat Depth = 0.100 (that's only 100 thousands of the bullet shank / bearing surface in the case neck which yielded COAL of approx. 3.160) it took filling it to 115% to yield 52,371 psi. - My point is I think RL-23 is a bit too slow for a 200 gr. bullet.
RL-16 (48.0 grains got it closer to being uncompressed but 48.0 was still at 106.3%)
45.0 gr. of RL-15 produced 60,390 under the aforementioned scenario, and was at 97% case capacity.

- Good Luck !!

There is a reason why you will not find RL-23 data for the 308win...

Like LA50SHOOTER said... RL-23 is TOO SLOW burning for the 308win.
It would work in the 243win. But just because the 243win uses the same case as the 308win, it doesn't mean the same powders can be used.

RL-15, Varget & H-4895 are the most popular 308win Powders.

There are like 20 other powders that work great in the 308win... but RL-23 is NOT one of them.
