RL 17 in a 20 BR?

Is anyone using RL 17 in their 20 BR?

17 is a touch too slow for the 20BR, 15 is a good option. I have also had really good luck with 8208xbr.

I have experimented with 17 and felt it was too slow of a powder in even the 20-250 case with 55 bergers. RL15 is just right for the 20BR with 55 bergers.

I used 17 exclusively in my 20-250 with 55s. I think it’s the ticket for velocity.

I also use it in a 22 BR at times with 75s.

I would think, you might be too slow to get any speed before you run out of room. However, R16 might be interesting to try in there.

I run it in my 5X45AI with the 55's. 3640 fps from it's 28" 8 1/2tw barrel with excellent accuracy.

I have tested one in 25" and 28", speed was almost the same with both barrel lengths.
