RL-17 and the 6-284

I should have a new 6-284 by next week and i have recently acquired about 5 lbs of RE-17. I am planning on shooting the 87g Vmax out of my 30 1/2' K&P 1:9 barrel using necked down Lapua Brass. This rifle will solely be a long range varmint rifle

I was wondering if anyone had done any load development with either the 6.5-284 or 6-284 and RE-17. How did it work out? ES? Accuracy? It seems that i have read great things about RE-17 and the 6mm/243 ackley's so it seems like it might be the ticket. What do you all think?

Thanks for any help you can give,

Ruck

I tried it in my .243Ai and couldnt get enough powder in it befor pressure signs to get any improved speed. I did however see some nice accuracy with it at lower charges.

Im thinking the 6-284 will need a slower powder than the RE-17.
Like, RE-22 or 25, H-1000 or Retumbo.
