Rings for cz453 varmint??

CZ is a 11mm rail and you can get rings from midway and you can also use air rifle rings i use those one my rimfire sporter only weigh 1.5oz i would use high rings

I have a 455 in 22 WMR, which is practically the same rifle.. I use Leupold rings [11mm] and a Leupold 2-7X28 rimfire scope. I found that the larger scopes interfere with the bolt opening.. You may have to machine the bolt a bit to get it to clear.

BTW where are you in Wyo? RS here..

I use a 2x7-28 on my 452ultralux with b-square medium rings and have no bolt problems at all i use this gun in cmp sporter and in rapid fire you have 30sec. for 5 shots always made it with time to spare. me and allot of others using the cz rimfires

Not all CZ rimfires have 11mm grooved receivers. Some are 3/8. I use these from Champion with a Leupold 40mms & Sightrons 42mms on my CZ & Annie 11mm dovetails. The Talleys 11mms will work with bigger scopes. For 3/8 rails on most CZ .17s ring height is the number you need. Midway USA has a chart that you can use to determine ring height in relation to objective bell outside diameter. By the way, I've never had bolt interference with any scope on a CZ as long as the scope cleared the barrel.

Good suggestions so far.

I have a 452 Varmint with 1" CZ rings holding a Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16x40. About .27" clearance to the barrel and no bolt interference issues. The CZ rings are very solid.

Also a 452 Style with Burris Signature Zee High rings on the J&P 11mm dovetail to Weaver adapter with a Bushnell Scopechief 6.5-20x40. Good clearance to barrel and no bolt interference issues. This scope will be replaced with a Leupold 6.5-20x40 EFR before too long. I'm using a 10 MOA offset in the Zee rings. BTW, the "high" version is probably not needed - standard height is about .15" lower and there's easily that much clearance available.

May change to BKL rings when I mount the Leupold, mostly because the BKL's are solid and readily available. The Burris Signature Zee rings are currently out of stock just about everywhere, although they are really excellent rings and work well on the CZ when combined with the J&P adapters. https://www.jnpgunsprings.com/product_info.php?cPath=10&products_id=236

Hope that helps - good luck!

Thanks guys , for the help.
How good are your rimfire Varmint 453 CZ's shooting? and what ammo seems to be shooting the best?

453 fluted in 17hmr, 4-16 Sightron Big Sky, Talley rings. On a good day, 1/2 inch at a 100 yds., 20 gr gamepoint, hornady or CCI. I did free float the barrel. From the factory, mine was touching the stock. Good Luck!

I have a 452, not a 453, but it's an excellent shooter. I get good results with CCI Standard Velocity and Wolf Match Target (which is the less expensive of the Wolf .22 long rifle offerings).

Zilla you need to move to Gillette. Shooting and riding dirt bikes! I recognize your screen name from KTMtalk.

Yes it's a inconvienance with the CZ's. I can't use 3 and 4 power on my scope as the power indicator will interfere with the bolt.
