Rings for a Tube-gun

Shot my first F-Open match (572-16X) with my new Eliseo tube-gun. Became obvious that I need better glass, so have done a bunch of reading and have settled on either the Sightron SIII 8-32X56mm or the the Nightforce BR 8-42X56mm. Have to decide if the 10X more power in the NF is worth the additional $500. With either am wondering if the 0.75" height of Burris Xtreme 'high' rings is enough or do I need to go with the 1.10" height for good clearance on the 56mm bell on either scope.
Thanks.

You will be closer to the rail on the ocular end of the scope than your objective will be to the handguard. On my Eliseo chassis, I used Nightforce ultralight mediums that measure .410 with my Competition 52mm and have plenty of clearance. 0.75" rings should be plenty high for a 56mm objective and the 1.10" rings would be overkill.

Just adding here, I have an Eliseo tube stock and I am using the Nightforce NXS scope with Lew-pold QRW low rings, the eye piece just barely clears.

I have an Eliseo and have found my a.r.m.s. #22H rings to give me optimal comfort and plenty of clearance for a s3 8-32. I tried lower rings but couldn't get comfortable with them in prone.

I was unsure about this as well when mounting a sightron 8-32 and called Gary. He recommended the TPS medium height at 1.075"
This leaves 0.370" between forearm tube and bottom of objective bell on my R5. At the back, the eye piece has 0.2685" of clearance.

Of course if we were real men we would be shooting irons. ;D
Yep. Those 'real men' next to me on the line at our mid-range/F-class match had a real fun time strapped into their heavy shooting coats and slings for the 25min block-time in our 90F+ heat and 90+ humidity. And they had to do it three times. For whatever reason, think I was much happier/comfortable in my t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops.

Back to scope height - with Burris Tactical x-high the 56mm bell is just short of an inch above the tube on my R1. Am thinking I will be better off with a set of rings that get the bell down to something under 1/2".

If you think if it as a sport, the sweating part really doesn't seem so hard to handle. It's just part of the deal. I can handle almost any amount of discomfort for 22-30 minutes at a time.

I am as good as bug in a rug with my leather shooting coat on, doesn't seem to bother me at all. I saw a f/class shooter almost pass out in the pits after shooting his three matches. It is all about being properly prepared.

Tried the Burris Xtreme Tactical, but were too high and no time to return. Only rings I could find locally was a pair of Warne Tactical medium in steel. Wasn't sure how I would feel about the vertically split rings, but were simple enough to install and work very well. I'm happy and the rifle seems to be happy. Shot my second match yesterday and gained just a bit (574-12x) in the very heavy mirage. Great learning experience. Missed one mirage shift in each of the first two strings and it cost me. Looking forward to the next match so can learn some more.
