Rimrock SSR or BAT VR

Hello - looking for some opinions, good, bad, ugly, etc. on the relative merits of choosing either the BAT VR or Borden Rimrock SSR repeater actions. Anyone have any experience that they would care to share?

I dont think you can make a bad/wrong decision with either. Both top shelf actions.. I am partial to BAT and have two of them, love em. With that said, I have never owned any other custom actions.

Both of the actions your talking about are top notch items. I don't think you would go wrong with either one. Bat and Borden make great actions and they service is exemplary. This is truly a case where you could toss a coin and be right either way. Good luck making this decision.

Good answer! I've used most all of the custom actions at some point, and most of them are fantastic. BAT and Borden are no exception to this, as well as Stiller, Kelbly and others. Jim's actions are second to none IMO, but I do have a soft spot for a drop port Diamondback, if Jerry and crew ever get around to making more. I love the drop ports. That said, I think it comes down to features that suit your needs and personal preferences, as well as what you can get your hands on. If you have it narrowed down to theses two...I'm pretty sure you're going to be happy when you get it.--Mike Ezell
