Rimfire Varmint Silhouette for Rosevally

Like to start an all rimfire silhouette shoot. 1/5 scale out to 200 meters.
22lr, 22 mag, 17HMR, 17wsm
Looking for like minded shooters.

Limited time, 30-40 seconds per shot.
I was there today sighting in my Savage Mark ll on the 150 meter rail.

Ten minutes for 10 shots
At 200 meters 1/5 scale silhouettes will be like shooting 1/2 scale at 600 yards like Long rang benchrest silhouette.

Kettlefoot does this on thurs evenings.. using the offhand targets starting at 100 yards and working out to 200 yards for the rams

Try it with 1/5 targets at 50, 100. 150 and 200. But - use paper targets scaled to proper and correct standard 1/5 size. Number the targets (corresponding to each shooter) and shoot Load 10 and Shoot 10 rounds per target. Use a designated scorer/RO (if you really need to) to score number of hits at each range. You can shoot a 40 round match in 30-40 minutes easy. 3 minutes (or so) per 10 shots. If you are using a single shot BR type gun you better get busy... If you are using a repeater you can spend more time per shot because of the quickness of loading from a magazine. So the advantage of the BR type rifle is compensated for by the additional difficulty of single loading.

We do Lever rimfire at paper (practice matches) at standard distances and load 10 - shoot 10 then load another 10 and shoot 10 more at the same target - move to the next paper animal target - Just like a regular match. 80 shot match in one hour. Just count the hits per target and write the number of hits on your individually numbered paper target. Score as usual.

It's a LOT of fun to see the targets fall and hear the clang but .... you can literally shoot 80 round matches (much) quicker than a 40 round steel animal match by going the paper paper targets. Not near as hard on old men's backs either when you staple up a 8x11 rather than carrying and worrying with cast iron or steel animals.....

To run concurrently with our Club Short Range Silhouette match.
All rimfire, 22lr, 22mag, 17HMR, 17wsm. Rem 5mm?
Sticks, front rest, bags, bi-pod and rear bag.
2, Two minute stages of 5 record shots; 1 Ram , 1 Turkey, 1 pig, 2 Chikens. One fifth scale. Set a the 200 meter rail.
Then Reset for a 40 shot match.

Targets could be point rated RTP 1 point C 2 points.
In that case allow any order target shooting
Have a point winner and target winner and combined.
Make it interesting and set the stages in opposite order, rtpcc....ccptr.
sighters (unlimited) at swingers, must be fired prior to
firing your first shot for record.
