Gold $$ Contributor
On 30 Sept 2017 Pikes Peak Practical Shooters and Hosers Steel will start hosting Rimfire PRS matches.

The PRS Matches will start at noon on either the 4th Sunday or 5th Saturday/Sunday.

Plan on 2-3 MOA sized targets from 50-220 yards spread out over 8-10 stages. We will have spinners and movers as well. We will also be running two TYL racks, one at 50 yards and the other at 105 yards.

Plan on movement, mandatory stick shooting, V-Tac walls, tight time limits, ect. No more than half of the match will be prone.

The match will require no more than 80-100 rounds to complete.

There will be time and sighter targets avail before the match to verify dope from 50-220 yards.

The two divisions are semi auto and manual.

The cost is $15 is you shoot only the PRS match. If you shoot the morning prone match *and* the noon PRS match, it is only $20 for both.

Sounds like a great way to get people into PRS style shooting without a big investment. Wish I was closer to you I would give it a go. Good luck with the match.

Yeah I hope it works out and gets lots of new people out shooting.

I have been dragging my feet for about a year getting it off the ground. I finally had enough people asking I figured it was time.

So for the first rimfire PRS match in Colorado the 40X Mafia took away top honors with Team CZ hot on their heels. Many congrats to TimK on his high score of 68 out of a possible 79 hits. His Elrod converted 40X absolutely hammered the targets. Close targets at 50 yards and far targets at 220 yards. The small target was a 1/4 inch KYL at 50 yards and most of the 220 yard targets were around 4 inch diameter.

The next match is 29 Oct. Same same. Belly match from 9-12 and PRS from 12-3.

Just under 2 weeks left until the next match.

Hopefully I will have my 34mm Kelbly rings soon so I can get my S&B 5-20 Ultra Short mounted on my Annie 1727. It looks like I will be loaning out a couple of my Elrod 40X repeaters...

Everyone that stayed home got beat by a 10 year old girl. Hang your heads in shame.

MB shooting 4-5 inch plates off her RRS tripod at 150 yards like a Rockstar with her CZ455.

A few pictures from the morning prone match. I failed to get any pics from the noon PRS match.

Scooter would use a borrowed Vudoo and Eley Red to win both matches. Solid shooting buddy.

We used our KYL Hostage target for the PRS match.

Isabel scoring for her pop. Quality father and daughter time. Isabel would solidly beat her pop by 5 points.

Jim and Dana crunching numbers for their Vudoos. 6 people out of 25 were using Vudoos and 3 more were shooting Elrod 40Xs.

Just a reminder that this months match is Saturday the 29th. Both matches are full, but there isn't anyone on the wait list.

We will be shooting AA Targets new Piano Key/Wind Doping target.

Fun matches today. The morning match went off without a hitch. It started out a little chilly but by 2:30 the temp had come up about 50° or so to about 90°. For the PRS portion we used the new AA Targets piano keys/wind chimes/wind doping targets at about 160 yards. Hit and spin the center target (about .75 inches wide) and you get a point, hit/spin a white one and get nothing other than knowing where your bullet went. Very cool target. Very hard target.

We also shot the good guy/bad buy KYL off a rooftop, Charlene and Sam spanked us all.

Sign up for October matches opens at midnight on the first of the month. Every match these past few months has sold out in a hurry, so don't drag your feet.

Don't forget to shoot all the stages before you leave, getting a zero on a stage kinda hurts your score. Here are links to todays results.

Would like to see this get going on the Northern Front range - Fort Collins area.... Looks like a lot of fun.

Boulder Rifle Club is starting one up in March. And there is an NRL sanctioned match in Ramah, east of Denver.

Our Feb match is almost full.

Thanks, Hoser. I saw those two on Snipers Hide and will be going.

Also, Green Mill Sportsman's Club (Erie) has a long range 22lr match on March 16th.
