Rimfire one piece rest.

Hi all,

I’m in the market for a one piece rest.
I have never shot from one, what do you guys consider one of the better choices currently available?
Price is not a deciding factor, .but quality and function are.
information will be appreciated..

Thanks,

Basically there are two main choices.

Arnold 1 Piece or PQP Joystick One piece. There is a PQP lite as well that doesn't have a joystick. It's all personal preference. Not sure where you are located, but I would recommend going to a match and you will most likely be able to see the first two at any decent sized match and possible the third as well.

The Cliff Arnold rest looks really nice. I did a quick search and found plenty of pics..but can’t find any contact information for him..

I bought a PQP joystick rest last year after I finished putting a barrel on my Vudoo V-22S action and putting it into a McMillan Kestros stock. This is the first & only 1-pc rest I've used, so have no experience with any other, but I like it. I got PQP's fuzz button top for it - works great.

I have a PQP one piece joy-stick rest and I bought a Randolph front rest with the conversion arm to make it a one piece rest. So far the Randolph works much better for me as I can use it as a one piece or separate the front for stand alone use. The PQP rest works well, but I can't get some repair parts that I need for it. Been trying to get them for well over a year now with no success. It's really frustrating having a rest you can't get OEM parts for.

Rick,
‘Thanks for the information..I will definitely keep that in mind making my choice of rests.
I haven’t looked at the Randolph rests.

Have you

Have you talked to Jerry directly. Was it the roller on the elevation post?

I use a Cliff Arnold and it is the BEST. Be sure to add the caring handle and holder for the bench feet. Mine has the roller top which is fabulous. I can send pictures to you if you want.

I also have an Arnold rest. Love it. Cliff is a great guy to work with and responsive. Mine is red with silver knobs and trim. Also have the feet and the thick cookie foot. Roller top.

Yep, I have contacted him several times. I wanted the rubber between the top and bottom pieces and some of the Delrin components. The rubber isolator on mine has deteriorated and I want to replace it with the correct item. I need a new dog bone and riser for it and this has been impossible to obtain. Hence my reason for buying the Randolph rest. I will be selling the PQP rest at a substantial price break and be done with it. Someone else can deal with it.

Huh, Jerry has always been been very helpful when I’ve need something. I would be interested in your pqp when you decide to sell.
