Update: some of you will remember me asking for help well over a year ago in joining the RFC Site. I never got the confirming email after several attempts, and just gave up.

Today, for the first time in a year, I decided to look for something on the site, and got a login window. Gave it a try, and son-of-a-gun if it didn't log me in. Not only found what I was looking for, but posted my first 2 replies, partly just to check if the login was working.

It's a huge site, so maybe it just took a long time for the administrators to enroll me.

Ive been there a long while and dont remember how long it took, but i have heard they let it set for a while. ed

Butch, any idea what it might have been?

Whatever the reason was, it's good to finally be on.

Be careful how you word your questions on the forum. They've got some thin-skinned dudes over there.

HP, I'll probably find them then.

We had some on LRH, but I refused to argue with them. They're not there anymore.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm headed over there now.

Now theres an understatement! I joined there about three years ago and things weren't nearly as bad, particularly in a few of the specific manufacturers blog. IMHO part of what caused the issues were that people had unrealistic expectations out of a $200 (or less) - $400 Rimfire rifle and when anyone made decent recommendations, you'd get all sorts of idiotic responses from folks who know everything there is to know (so they think). Therefore, I rarely even bother going over there and spend my time over here where people seem to have more respect for each other and are willing to help out where you can. Guess I also got tired of the pissin and moanin that became totally counterproductive. And over here, the folks not only are willing to help one another, they know what they are talking about. Just my thoughts and some venting.

Shynloco, I avoid the pissin contests, but they have more info on .22 lr military trainers than I've found anywhere else, so.....good so far.

Thanks again, Tom

Way to many expert keyboard shooters over there from what I've gathered over the last 2-3 years at RFC. There are some good folks with lots to offer but they are overshadowed by those expert keyboard shooters, and it just ruins the atmosphere of that site. I don't bother going there any longer as its just become a breeding ground for arguments. However, some seem to really enjoy that stuff I guess.

Hmmm, been a member there fer a loonnnngggggg time. Never ever had an issue to amount to anything with anyone and there are many good gents which know what they are talking about and very willing to share what they do know, and I am thin skinned and don't take well to ego's etc.

It's like a gold mining operation. You have to gather three tons of rocks to get an ounce. Compared to RFC, not many rocks here. ;D I peruse a half a dozen or so forums and this one by far, I feel, has the most knowledgeable shooters and non condescending atmosphere. :) (And the ads are great too.)

Get out and shoot and then post your scores towards the bottom in the matches section. You are only shooting to beat yourself.

USBR and A23/5 targets are shot-USBR at 25 and 50 yards and the A23/5 at 50 yrds w/ IRONS.

Shoot what you got.

As long as you pay attention to Sophia and Gerald you can't go wrong. There are quite a few others who really know what they're talking about but I'd say those are the top 2. I haven't been on there in quite a while since they limited you to the last 8 pages of new posts and there is a lot of activity.

Great site for rimfire information.

I'm a very green RF shooter & RFC has been most helpful.

I will have to agree with most of the post about the "Internet Experts" on that site and I find that there some that are VERY OPINIONATED in their answers.. Much like Car guys on loyality to what they own.. I am 64 tears YOUNG and for a period of 15 + years shot a rimfire daily and when I read Blogs about their new "LEFT HAND GOBBILY GOOKS" and such I usually have a little laugh.

I few years back one particular member became a OVERNITE sensation and authority with over 5,000 post in a very short time.. The kinda guy that goes from a Corvair to a Cobra in less that 4 seconds

Jim

I've sent tons of inquiries about my registration over a year know well screw it giving up not a proclaimed know it all but I do know a little so I will share and learn with you guys and with rimfire shooter
