Rimfire Benchrest Pistol

I always wanted to build one of these
So I finally broke down
I got a Benchrest stock for my Anschutz Exemplar

Stock came from Jim Rockwell
I put it all together with a Weaver8-32 scope I had in garage and BKL rings

Conditions were very calm this am, I shot it off my Fuzz Rest
Very fun to shoot

I have two Exemplars, one left and one right, very accurate. Once you get the hang of them, they will outshoot many rifles. We used to shoot pistol matches, don't anymore, may as well sell them.
 
Saw this and made me want one. Contacted Rockwell Stocks by phone Oct. 2023. Spoke with the son who took over I presume. Was told it would be likely be done around April 2024. Ordered Exemplar and Contender stocks, paid with credit card $580.00.
No stock in April. Waited until Oct. 2024 giving him more time. Finally contacted by phone was told it would be a couple more weeks. Texted me a picture of stock wrapped in plastic in Dec. 2024. Had called couple of times, no answer no way to leave message.
Contacted Montana Consumer Protection. They sent him a letter, then he sent them letter and they closed complaint. Now will have to try and contact this person again and try and be civil with someone who I am seriously upset with. Really considering taking motor home when I am on vacation and drive there and park in front and not leave until I receive my already long ago paid for items.
On original phone call when ordered items and was told April likely date, it was never mentioned by him that on web site they have a policy of not having a shipping date on items ordered. So, in practice I suppose one could place an order, pay for it then wait until he decides he wants to fulfill it. Be it a year, 2 years a decade who knows.
You cannot imagine all of the descriptive words I have for this person and the way they conduct business. A warning to anyone who deals with this person. Don't pay up front no matter what they tell you they will do. A blatant liar and scammer I'm afraid. Extremely disappointed people such as this are in the firearms world.
 
Time for a rode trip to Montana.
My xp-100 from them has been good,2022 after not so, SP forum over at LRH
Might try Rickiesrevenge on here, he is always creating SP stocks.
There is a fellow Sedgwick, Kansas,I believe name is ELM creek or Emma creek,he does have an flebay site selling wood and rough xp-100 stocks,he loves his wood,great custom work.

You're not the first person that has had issue with this company after the son took over. I decided to stay away from them.

Rockwell made a nice stock, but his business practices are very poor
I agree I am amazed how dishonest the firearms industry has become. I have seen more loses on this front than I want to admit
