Im gonna biild an accurized 22lr for trigger control training, my initial thoughts were to go with a bull barrel 10 22 with fajen thumbhole.
Does anyone have a better idea and why.

What do you plan on doing with the fire arm or what shooting discipline are going to be doing rim-fire sporter, bench rest etc. but really you can use any rifle for trigger control best thing you can do is shoot and shoot some more with the rifle you are going to use and put all the basics together like your hold, breath control,and trigger squeeze, and follow through do all that consistently and you will be on your way good luck

Hey cb1229, thx for writing down what I suspect many who read this thread were thinking. I am not trying to be a jerk, but I read the post when it first appeared and frankly thought the comment was SO opened ended and unspecific as to use of the rifle. In addition, because accuracy and benchrest style shooting is my thing, I can't imagine using a 10/22 to learn trigger control. You just don't see 10-22 with a thumbhole stock being used in most serious competitions nor by those seeking true accuracy as a semi auto has never outshot an accurate shooting bolt gun, not even on it's best days. Now as cb posted, there are several other issues to be cosidered which are as important as s q e e z i n g the trigger which is the last step in successful and accurate shooting. I'm REALLY not tying to pop your bubble trinity, but might I suggest you be a bit more specific in the purpose of what you'd be using the rifle for OTHER than trigger control. Triggers BTW, are more adjustable on bolt guns than they are on semi auto's. But to be sure, I'm not knocking 10-22's as they are a kick in the pants to shoot. But I never give a thought about triggger control on my 10-22 when I shoot it because it is strictly for fun shooting where as with my bolt guns, I'm trying REAL hard to put 5 rounds through the same hole. That'll never happen with a 10-22. Good luck and have fun. And don't let me comments turn you off from posting your comments on this blog.

A Savage or a CZ might be a good choice. Both can have the triggers made very good so you can practice trigger control without any creep.
One thing that helped my bench rest shooting if you don't have the 3" wide forend is the wide forend adapter sold by Sinclair Int through Brownells. It's $35.00, goes on without hurting the rifle, has a Derlin type base on it and really helps keep the rifle straight and level. With a 3" bag in my Rock front rest, it helps you hold the rifle very solid so you can concentrate on your trigger and sight picture, well worth the money.
I find a consistant light hold on my rifle and streight back trigger pull gets me in the Bulls. Be sure to have a good front rest and bags that fit the rifle, spend the money to get good ones.
Always have the rifle pointing as close to the bull as possible, you do not want to be pulling your rifle over to make the shot, it will be a flier.
