Rifle twist

Hi i would like some general idea as to what bullet weights would suit a 1 in 8 twist and 28 inch barrel
say for fox shooting - target shooting out to 1000yds etc. will a 1in 8 be to slow for the faster varmint bullets?? any help much appreciated, as you can tell i am new to 6m br calibre) many thanks Chris:confused:

many thanks Boys. i have heard that Lapu ammo shoots very well straight out the box is this correct? if not what does? if any.

For factory 6mmBR ammo Lapua is verry good it is almost benchrest standard. I have fired 55gr BlitzKing's out of an 8 twist 6nnDasher, an improved 6mmBR) and getting 1.2" groups at 300 yards. for lokg range try Remington 7 1/2 or CCI450 primer 107gr Sierra and work up to 30gr Varget if it does not shoot as you like try the 105gr Lapua or 105gr A Max You should have a great load that will shoot back to 1000 yards.
