I tried to inlet a laminate stock for whidden action block and in the milling process the mill splinter the wood under and forward of the recoil lug and aluminum bedding block, so escentualy the opening in the stock is about 2" longer than forward screw and recoil lug area, long rectangle opening!
do you think it would be possible to fill this area up with bedding compound and put the bottom metal setting in with bedding compound. This way the bedding block and the bottom metal would be in devcon bedding. I would just have to be sure that the bedding block gets epoxied all the way around it for strength and then once it is all sett finnish of the bottom of the stock to match contour. Just wondering if someone did something similar and how it worked out! Thank You Ron
