What rifle ranges are near (50 mile radius) of Katy, TX? Prefer 300 yard plus...

The ONLY one fitting your description is Bayou Rifles. You either have to be a member or come with a member as a guest.

American Shooting Center on Westheimer Parkway, and Bayou Rifles. You can shoot to 300 yds. at ASC any time. To shoot farther than that, you have to shoot a qualifying target, after which you can shoot to 600 yds. You can shoot at Bayou Rifles without being a member. You just need to show up at a scheduled match. They have Highpower Across-Course matches monthly, that are fired at 200, 300, and 600 yds. They also have F-class matches about 3 weeks of each month. These matches are 300, 600, or 1,000 yards. You will need to have equipment that meets the requirements, if you expect to have an official score. However, provided you do not bring a muzzle brake, you can basically shoot anything that will go the distance. This is all single-loaded, and scoring is electronic, so the matches go very fast. Check out their website www.bayourifles.org.

Don't know if the site tells you that sign in for matches is by 7:30 and shooting starts at 8.
