I seem to remember one time somewhere reading your magazine box should have some play to it. I have two Ruger 77's one has play on the magazine box and the other doesn't. Will it affect the accuracy on the one that doesn't have any play?

Some have epoxied their box magazines to the receiver. They stay in place.
First time loose fitting box magazines caused big accuracy problems in competition was when M14NM rifles shot very accurate ammo. One tight fitting magazine would shoot group centers a half MOA or more away from another one. Loose fitting ones shot less accurate than tight ones.
The solution for rapid fire matches where reloading with another was required was to use two magazines that shot accurate to the same point of aim. Use another tight one for slow fire single round loading events.
