Rifle Basix & the 700SPS

I acquired a .223 700 SPS about a year ago. I didn't know about the trigger recall until after the 10 day wait. This was to be a truck rifle to defend myself against the rogue P Dog and Ground Squirrel
Anyway I took it out on a shake down when we were testing a friends 338 Lapua. It was used to fill time while the barrel was cooling. :D The ammo for the .223 was mixed cases & primers, length of cases and OAL in the box looked like the Pacific Crest Trail. We only shot what we could close the bolt on without effort. The only thing I knew that was consistent was 27.5 gr of W748 and 55gr Hornady SP. The rifle is topped with an inexpensive 3x9 Sterling scope and bedding and stock are factory. Dern if it didn't shoot 1/2" to 3/4" and I did a terrible job on the bench.
I want to replace the trigger. I know that Remington would do it at no charge but there is 3 down sides. 1. I'd probably be without it for a year or more while it went through the system. 2. I'd get another crummy lawyer proof trigger. 3. The shipping costs would probably go a long way towards the purchase of quality trigger unit.
I own a Jewell on another rifle of high quality and IMO it is the greatest. I am a bit reluctant to spend that kind of money on a truck gun.
I am seeking advise on the better Rifle Basix units. The LV-1K and the L-3K.

Thank You in advance for your consideration and expertise

For what it's worth, I have the ELR-V on my Rem 700 police tactical in .308, and it is set to about a pound, feels kinda squishy, moves about a 1/16 then fires. I love it, check it out.

I have the the LV1K and honestly it's a god awful trigger. To get it to hold I had to turn the sear engagement way up and the spring tension up also. About 20oz and creepy as all get out. I will never buy another one. Before I'd put a Rifle basix on I'd just tune up the factory trigger and keep it clean. If not then a Timney if I didn't want to spend the money for a Jewell.

I have Timney Triggers installed in my Remington 700 hunting rifles and have been very pleased. They are set at two pounds, which is my preference, and have been set for zero creep and undetectable overtravel. Great on hunting rifle, I think you would be pleased.
