Rifle Basix for Savage

For a model 12 with bolt release on top side:
Which one: SAV 1 or SAV 2?
Application: Pdog gun.
I have 3 Savage PTA's.. love the trigger.
What do you suggest?

SAV 2 is what I have on my p-dog & coyote rigs. Crisp trigger. Set mine at 2lbs and they have not moved for over 5 yrs.
I feel they are much better than the basic sav1.

I have one of each and they are both great triggers.....I'd also go with the Sav2 for what you are wanting to use it for. They are super easy to install and set up.

I have several actions with the SAV-2 on them, some are set at 6oz's, some are set at 2lbs.

I am satisfied with them.

The guy I shoot dogs with has the Sav1.. he likes them..I called Clay Mitchell at Rifle Bsaix.. and I ordered the SAV 1.. he said if not satisfied.. send it back and he would ship the SAV 2..Great company!! And products..
Thank you all for your replies and input!!

Just installed a Sav-2 in my 112 Swift and set it at 2 pounds. It was a vast improvement over the old style trigger. The only pain is there are no written instructions. I set up a bench by my PC and watched the good video. Your trigger will come mostly assembled but you will have to diassemble it to install it.

Rockable, thank you sir. Clay at Rifle Basix said that a DVD would be included.. I'll post my progress / info for those whom might be interested onn how install goes..

I got it installed just a while ago.. not difficult at all. I dry fired it a few times and it feels very crisp with a"micro" amount of creep.. probably need to fire it a few times then maybe do finite adjustment, then "paint" the screws..

I guess it was near 3 years ago, that I saw my very first Savage 12 shot at our rifle club. I was impressed with the groups and liked the way it looked. A bull barrel on a nice black Accu-stock. The caliber was 22-250 and you just can't go wrong with this caliber for predator hunting.

Now that time has gone by, I find myself looking at 5 of those Savage rifles, with Accu-Trigger etc. Some have the Accu-stock as well. Calibers are in .204 Ruger, 223 Remington, 22-250. My better half likes hers a bunch. I think Savage makes the most accurate factory barrels in the factory industry. All of our rifles have shot near 1-MOA with factory ammo. Now after working up loads most will shoot under .500-MOA.
