RFI: Farley Coaxial Rest

Got this from a F-Class/Palma shooter who has left the game. I know a bit about competitive rifle shooting, but I’m like a hog looking at a wristwatch when it comes to this thing. I have no idea of the age, generation, or value, only that they seem highly regarded on this forum.

What do I need to know about it?

Thanks,

Okie John

If you plan on shooting with it, you should at the very minimum move the rifle stop to the bag holder. Along with removing the rubber boot. Are you planning on using it competitively?

That’s a nice f class model Farley. New style. 8-900$ my guess.
That is not a new style and it's just a regular Farley rest with a space base added instead of the regular base. . That one pictured is like a Gen 2. Has the updated aluminum bag holder with the delrin ear tensioners but it has the old style T feet where as the newer ones have the rounded billet aluminum knobs. The Gen 2 also has the Farley writing that says Farley Coaxial like this one does and it also has the old style tensioners on it. The Gen 3 has Farley Coaxial II stamped one it and the newer Generation ones have FMFG Coaxial U.S.A. stamped on it (Farley Manufacturing). Plus the newer ones have the coned tensioners with the Allen screw adjusters. I've bought and sold a dozen Farley rests since 2012. You should be able to get 800-900 for it. Make sure that price doesn't include shipping because they are very expensive to ship.

No, I'm not. Just trying to figure out what it is before I sell it.

Thanks.

Thanks for this.

How do you recommend shipping? It looks like I'd have to build a crate for it or do a face-to-face deal.

face to face as they are popular

also a skb or hard plastic are with foam in,it works well if you can find one on sale or used to reduce costs

Shipping
I would recommend taking the major parts off the base which will pack easy.
The base will require a larger box and more sturdy.

I bought a Farley Rest a couple of months ago. Shipping came close to $100.00 In a Harbor freight molded case.
