I have been helping a younger shooter get into the shooting sports and reloading. This is his first experience with reloading component shortages and panic gun buying. I explained that we go thru this cycle every eight to ten years so experienced folks keep several years of reloading stock on hand. I gave him a brick of primers and told him to remember this in the future. I thought it a good investment, he is a life long liberal from a liberal family but he has discovered shooting, competition and reloading. I never mentioned politics to him but now he is telling me about his political conversion. I do not push or gloat, I just smile and help him as much as I can.. All is well.

That is the only way people come around , they actually awaken from their slumber that TV has ingrained in young and old as well.

Good - we need more shooters and non-shooters converted to shooters.
I always try to help shooters at the range if they ask for help - have helped many over the years - it's quite amazing how so many don't have a handle on the basics. I'm always diplomatic and never insult anyone. The only guys I detest are the ones who are unsafe and argue with you when you point out a safety violation.
