REST for F-class work

Which rest do you guys recommend for F-class work...be shooting a 6.5 and JB Doctor bag more than likely.

I am leaning toward Sinclair, but would appreicate those with experience in F-class belly benchrest shooting.

I am currently shooting bipod and rear bag.

Rhino,
At the F-Class Nationals I saw every brand and model of rest in existence used. A large number of the National team were using Bald Eagle slingshots that were made out of aluminum. An awful lot of people were using Ron Hoehn tops.

It would be interesting to see a list of the rest that were used, but they did not compile that data in the equipment list.

I've been using a bipod with sliding feet for F-Class here in Australia with some success, and it is certainly easier to set the rifle up given the differing slopes of the firing mounds etc. However when my new F-Class rig is ready- Python action and MBR stock- I'll be shooting off a benchrest style rest to take full advantage of the wide foreend on the stock. Which ever rest you choose, you will almost definitely need to do some tinkering with the legs to allow you to level it on varying sloping mounds. With the rest I have- just a very basic locally made one-that just involved getting some threaded rod to give me more adjustment range on the feet and some wider feet to stop the rest sinking into the mound too far. I adjust for windage by winding the scope so a windage top wasn't needed.

Merry Christmas,
Michael
