Resetting target knobs on a Leupold Competition scope

I have a COMPETITION SERIES 45X45 1/8 MIN. TARGET DOT Part # 53440.

How do I reset the target knobs after I have established a zero? Previously I loosened the three screws around the top of the knob but this one is different. I see the torx screw but I hesitate to loosen that as it may be connected to internals.

No, it comes with a "Riflescope Owners Handbook". Guess how I know you have not read it?

I had the 40x model many years ago and when I tried to re-set the turrets some damn spring inside kept me from being able to re-tighten that centre torx screw. In the end I just pulled that spring out and tossed it in the bin. Didn't seem to affect function one bit so I don't really know why it was there, but I sincerely hope they fired the designer that thought it a good idea. Amazing optics, probably the best I've ever looked through but I couldn't handle the 7.5min windage rotation per turn. Too much to think about when you have 9 mins wind on the gun and need to wind on another handful or ease off, spent too much time thinking about where I needed to be instead of watching the flags and mirage, so after 6 months it was down the road, replaced with a Sightron, also had 1/4 min which I prefer.

Ditto, all my Leupolds have been replaced with Sightrons.
