Replacement threaded post for Sinclair Rest?

Pareto

One of my front rests is a Sinclair comp rest with a Greenlaw adjustable top. It's worked fine for my bench needs although I would like to make finer vertical/horizontal adjustments without touching the scroll wheel. I usually just turn the rear post for that. But is there a specific replacement post I can buy for the Sinclair post/foot that I can install in place of the rear leg that allows for smooth, fine grained height adjustments?

Thanks

I think you are describing something called a speed screw. I was on the Brownells site today and ordered a forend stop. Brownells handles spare parts for the rest. Also I have seen speed screws at PT&G.

Works for me with a Caldwell base. The Sinclair 1/2 x 20 model is nicer than the 3/8 x 16.
