Replacement bolt for Ruger American?

First post, did some searching but can't seem to find the same question anywhere. Does anyone know where/if I can possibly order a replacement or aftermarket complete bolt assembly for a Ruger American short action? I have a Predator 6CM that I want to rebarrel to 6ARC, but I know the 308 boltface of the 6C doesn't match the PPC boltface of the 6ARC. I have another 6C already and this one is unused. I already built a 6ARC gasser that I love, and want another in a bolt gun. I really just don't want to buy a whole complete Grendel Bolt gun just for the bolt assembly, if at all possible. All ideas or thoughts are welcome. Thank you in advance.

Wouldnt the bolt cost more than a whole new rifle? I bet your 308 bolt face will pull a grendel case

Ruger will want you to send it in. Selling a bolt is about like selling a trigger liability wise

Can't a gunsmith cut a ring to reduce the diameter of the bolt face and solder it in then make a new extractor for it?

This is worth a try before spending money or reducing the bolt face. The sliding plate extractors will manage to pull the 0.441" rim diameter.

The issue will be keeping the case in the bolt face when the case clears the chamber. How deep is the counterbore?

You can just sell it and get a Grendel. You’ll have a switch barrel!

I have a RA and while it shoots well enough for the great neices and nephews to take a WT or 6, there's no way I would spend more than a few bucks on modifying it. I've invested a hour or so to tune the trigger, and a similar amount to stiffen the stock. That's all I'll ever invest in it.

If you have a friend with the caliber/bolt face you want have them send it in for a new bolt. Replacement bolt is only 50.00 plus shipping. Checked on this for a customer just last week.
