Repair of Ohaus Dial-o-grain scale

I have this beautiful scale that was once accurate and repeatable. Not so much anymore after being out of use for many years. Who could I send this to for repairs. Any known reliable places ?

Thanks,
Dr.Lee

Scott Parker is known as the master-tuner of old beam balances; guaranteed 1-kernel accuracy. You can give him a call to discuss to be sure he can work on your model, and he re-furbs a lot of old units. I think he has a website or Facebook page you can google for details.

I think it is one kernel sensitivity, which is not the same as accuracy. I have one of his scales (a very nice old Ohaus 10-0-5) and although it will sure respond to a single grain of Varget or RL15, I don't believe the accuracy is on a par with the sensitivity.

Wasn't cheap, either ($230.00).

If you are some what of a do-it-yourselfer, you may want to tweak your Ohaus yourself.
If you look closely on Google, you will find not only instruction manuals for old Ohaus balances, but Maintenance manuals as well.

Just do a simple search for "Ohaus Dial-a-grain scale maintenance manual"
