Rendezvous 4.0 planning is underway. It’s that time of year again to post the information about registering for the Rendezvous at Vapor Trail Valley LLC in Spickard, Missouri. This year the Rendezvous’ actual match will be held on a Wednesday-Friday instead of the usual Thursday-Saturday. This will give shooter’s time to get home on the weekend. Match dates are June 12th-14th, 2024. You may come as early as June 7th, which is the Friday before. The range will be open for testing and tuning Friday, 7th, through Tuesday June 11th which will also be the day you may set out your flags. There will be a 65-shooter limit which lends to 5 relays by using 13 benches. The registration fee is $375 and will need to be paid in full by March 31, 2024. Previous Rendezvous shooters get first chance by calling or texting to reserve a spot by February 15th, and then we will open up registration to new shooters after February 15, 2024. If you have not participated in the Rendezvous before and want to, I will take names early and place them on a waiting list. Any new shooters on the waiting list will be notified February 16th,2024. My number is 660-748-8111. If the match is not full by March 31st, we will accept shooters up to two weeks prior to the match. It is our intent to keep the match small in numbers because we are not wanting to run a marathon match, but one of good shooting and good times with amazing friends. We offer camping with 11 electric only sites which is first come first serve. Once the sites are full, we will allow for other campers who may use their own generators or go primitive. There are several Airbnbs in the area and a handful of motels in Trenton, Chillicothe, Jamesport, and Bethany. We will have Wifi available now and it is our plan (fingers crossed) to have a bathroom facility with showers as well as the portable toilets. We will have a live band on Thursday night June 13th from 6pm to 10pm.

Rules.
1. Freedom Benchrest Light Gun rules apply with the exception of guns weights are allowed up to 22lbs
2. Rests, Front and Rear: (Freedom Benchrest)
A Front Rest shall support the front/forearm part of the rifle. A Rear Rest shall support the rear/buttstock of the rifle while in position on the bench. The Front and Rear Rests may not be mechanically attached to the bench, rifle or to the other rest. A flexible mat or belt may be placed and used between the bench and rests, to facilitate coordinated movement and placement of both rests. Either rest, in our Heavy Gun, Light Gun and Tactical discipline, may be mechanical, adjustable in all directions in its construction. A Bipod is also considered a front rest. Sand Bags are required for the Front or Rear Rest System and must fully support the front, sides and rear of the rifle while in the Rest system. Size and thickness of the sand bags are not limited. Any sandbags contained within their rest system may be made from leather, rubber or synthetic fabric.
Sandbags:
A Sandbag is described as a bag, with or without a platform or pedestal. Sandbags may be filled with sand, heavy sand or any other granular material. The front and rear rest system must be such that when lifting the rifle from its rest, the rest does not lose contact with the bench at any point.
3. 10 minute combine sighter/record period
4. One rifle the entire match, (only alibi) mechanical failure.
5. No barrel swaps btween yardages.
6. All rifles will be single fed.

Rules, as we get further into the details of
this match, we will be able to refine these.
My intent, is to keep the rules very simple.
Range Rules
1. This will be a cold range.
2. Bolts out at all times.
3. Wind flags will be placed Tuesday evening prior to the match, there will be no going down range during the match.
Any flags in a competitors way, will be laid down.
4. We will use a 2 bench rotation after each set of targets, relay order will be swapped day two.
5. My Goal, is to have at least 3 referees
6. We will have one official target measurer; he will measure all targets.
7. All record targets will be 5 shots.
8. All record targets will be measured for group and score for the 16 target ultimate agg.
