Removing Hbn from bullets?

As my supply of bare 115Dtacs is quite low and no new supply probably until June I've come across an unopened box of 500 hbn coated. I prefer to stay with bare 115's and wondering if there is a EASY way to remove the hbn from the bullets? Due to case capacity I'm not able to increase powder to make up for the velocity loss with the coated 115's. Info appreciated, Eric in DL

HBN [hexa boron nitride] bonds to metal when applied correctly, I imagine it is very difficult to rub or wash off any significant quantity from the bullet. Use them or sell them.

I use Acetone (nail varnish remover) Put the bullets in a glass jar and fill it to cover the bullets with acetone, I leave it for a few minutes and then shake the jar gently, and I do mean gently otherwise you're going to have some damaged tips! I then drain them on kitchen towel before putting them into a tumbler. I've never had a problem doing it this way and the bullets shot to F class standards and shot to the same POI as naked Dtacs.
