Remmy 700 misfire

I’ve got a remmy 700 .223 fitted with a Calvin Elite trigger and safety, over the last 2 weeks I’ve had a couple of misfires.
Scenario - Aim, safety off, squeeze trigger “click”- now the the odd part is when I eject the round there isn’t a mark of any kind on the primer not even the tiniest mark.
I’ve stripped the bolt and that’s clean.
Any ideas?

Try a different trigger

On an EMPTY chamber , dry fire it and see if the cocking piece rests at the same place each time . Retry till it doesn't . Then do as dusty says , replace trigger . If it is your trigger ( probably) it not letting the sear drop enough to allow the cocking piece to fall . Just guessing .

Dimensions are the same between the 500's and the Calvin's, I had to dremel the trigger guard for trigger shoe clearance. Once I had clearance the full length of trigger travel, trigger worked perfectly. They do have very good customer service.
