Remington XR-100

Hello,
Is there any documentation out there on how to tune up a Remington XR-100 trigger. If the safety was removed will it improve the trigger.
This rifle is strictly a target rifle.

Regards

Seeing you asked about tuning a XR-100 trigger, they will tune as easy as a 700 trigger being they are the same thing... They can be pulled down to 3 #'s with out being unsafe, and once in a while a little less.. Do a search on this site for Remington triggers
The safety has nothing to do with it.....
Jewell make a hell of a trigger that will go down to 1 1/2 ounces, and the Kelbys will too, but you'll need to dig deep in your pockets for one of them, I did and never looked back............

Fred is correct about both the bolt release and part number. I did not intend to mislead but meant to indicate that a Jewell trigger is the best choice. This is the trigger I use in my 40-X rifles.

The XR-100 Trigger is adjustable to 1 1/2#'s by turning the slotted screw in front of the trigger shoe counter-clockwise, but I do agree in replacing it with a Jewell.

If you don't need the bolt release or safety then the BR Jewel for the Rem 700 will fit. Otherwise you will need the model listed above.

I have the HVR on both of my XR actions and one on my 700 action.
