Remington XP-100 Benchrest Rifle

I've decided to sell one of my bechrest rifles. Rifle was purchased second hand and gone through. Have been shooting it in competition but it's is too small for me and doesn't quite suit my shooting style.

Remington XP-100 action, chambered in 6mm BR Norma, Brux 1-8 twist barrel, .272 no turn neck, mcmillan stock, jewel trigger. Barrel is 28 inches, HV profile. Barrel has approximately 1100 rnds on it. Rifle shoots great groups with 108grn ELDM's. Has a 20 moa rail, custom machined to the action. Stock has a few small scratches but in overall great shape. No major damage anywhere.

Asking $2200 OBRO. Comes with 100 rnds of brass, load data, Forrester full length sizing die, and an aluminum butt plate (not shown). Gun is competition ready for IBS/UBR. Would prefer local pick-up in NC/SC. Willing to discuss shipping.

For more photos/info message me.

You can convert a pistol to a rifle but it must stay that way, unless you file forms with the ATF to make it a short barreled rifle then you can convert it back from a rifle to a pistol. XP-100 actions are considered a pistol from the factory

The only thing that makes this a “rifle” now in the eyes of the ATF is that the stock can be shouldered. If it was left in the original center grip stock or a rear grip stock with a 28in barrel it would still be considered a pistol in their eyes

The XP-100s are uncommon enough it would be a shame to convert it to a rifle, there are hundreds that would buy it for a good amount and you could turn around and pick up a different action.

You can go back and forth with an XP.. without having to do anything just as long as you don’t have a pistol length barrel in a rifle stock.. so you can build a rifle on the action and later have put back in pistol form..
