I have honed a few to around that range before, but as I stated I just moved and lost the string stock the gunsmith that showed me how to do it gave me. So I do know what it takes just can't remember the compression strength he said it was.gunsandgunsmithing said:shooter74 said:Yelp at them prices I will just order a trigger. Shooter, if you yelp at $62, you'll cry at a Rifle Basix that goes to 10-12 ounces. The Jard kit is a less than 1/2 the cost of the Basix. I don't use many Basix triggers, because if you're going to spend that much, why not just get a Jewell and be done with it..I don't know of a better option for the price. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Maybe someone else knows of a cheaper option. Otherwise, I guess you'll find out what's involved in getting a factory Remington trigger to 9 ounces.
Hint..it's more than a spring.![]()
