Remington primer?

It's been a while since I've used them, but they have worked fine in the past. I can't imagine that you will have any trouble with them. What are you using them for? I don't reload self defense ammo, so all my hand gun reloads are for informal range use only. I have never been fussy about pistol primers.

45 acp mostly range shooting

Shooting buddy died. I went and cleaned out all his guns, reloading gear and supplies.
Maybe 1000 Remington LR primers that worked in his 30.06.
Worked well in .308 for my M1A. Had to be 10 to 15 years old, on the shelf next to power cardboard cans with the bottoms falling off in a non climate controlled garage. Every one went BANG. No issues!!
When supplies are lean, you get what you can. ;)

I have only used the 7 1/2, but have used many. Not one issue. I dedicated them to bolt action rifles since the shortages. Was using in semi auto for years also. Never tried the 1 1/2 before. I did see them at local store 2 weeks ago, kinda a good sign some are coming around.

In my experience the Remington primers will likely do better than the CCI and at least as well as the Federal in 45ACP. I have had issues in the past where the CCI were not quite hot enough to completely burn the powder charge.

I use Federal, CCI, and Remington when I could get them and have had the odd failure to fire with all of them. The old nickel plated Winchesters were not a problem until they brass plated the cup and I had more failures to fire with the since.

My preferred primer is CCI, large and small, as I have set all of my guns for them.
