Remington Model 7 Predator Owners

Hello all! I am just curious what kind of accuracy you have gotten out of your Model 7 Predator. I am just now getting some rounds through mine and would like to hear other owner's experiences with the rifle.

Thank you!

Andy

I had one for a short time in 223. I only put about 200 rounds thru it but 3 shot groups would hover around 3/4moa. I had a similar rifle that shot better with less effort so I sent It down the road.

This was factory and reloads. I did not really chase loads for the rifle.

Sent my original one back due to it was placing a deep scratch in the brass when i would feed a round from the magazine. The factory tried to file the feed ramp but made a mess out of it. I sent the gun back once again and they replaced it with a new one. It is a 243 and it loves 87 Vmax bullets.

I have one in 17 fb my best group with 20 gn vmax @ 4000 fps was 3 shots at 300 yards that I can cover with a dime. Most days .75 to 1 moa is what I expect which is good enough for what I use it for.

Had one in a .22-250

The guns will shoot.... As long as YOU can do your part

I don't know about anyone else but mine had absolutely ridiculous muzzle flip. They are light as a feather in the front end, and if I didn't do my part the group would really open up.

The gun just wouldn't stay in a set of bags for anything....

If I focused and kept a good handle on it, then it was capable of .5-.75 moa on most days.

Mine was in 223 so muzzle flip wasn't an issue. But it was a nice light rifle so I could see it having that issue.

On my way home form work I stopped and shot a few rounds at the range. I was tweaking the POA a bit and trying to see what the first groups would look like. The groups were about 1" for five shots. I was using some loads that I had worked up for another rifle. I will head back out tomorrow and chronograph.
