Remington Mod. 5 trigger creep

I just bought a new Rem. Mod. 5 .22 rifle and it has terrible trigger creep....can this be fixed or am I just stuck with it?
Thanks

The Model 5 trigger is adjustable for let off weight and creep.

Take the action and barrel out of the stock and have a look. It's a very simple trigger system, and you will probably be able to work out how to do it in far less time than it would take me to describe the procedure. DON'T overlook the fact that there is a lock screw that secures the engagement, creep) adjustment screw, which MUST be backed out first.,and re-tightened when the adjustment has been completed, obviously)

If you have any problems, by all means ask for further advice.
